Snowboarding
Snowboarding
Snowboarding is the world\'s fastest growing winter sport ever known. Popularity of snowboarding increased almost 50% by year of 2000 and it is becoming even more popular then skiing.
The first snowboard ever made was produce by Shervin Popper, in 1964. It was just a piece of wooden deck that is similar to snowboards we have today. Later on, bigger ski companies like Burton started to develop more stable snowboards. Snowboard was show to public in many commercials as an extreme sport of a year but it was still consider a strange activity to many people.
Snowboarding is on other side also very dangerous sport. Most common injuries in snowboarding are broken wrist, tweaked knee, and back problems. There is no need to be afraid of those injuries as longest you dont ride A Big Mountain or a Freeride, that includes riding on jumps, ice, steeps, and halfpipe as well. All of those injuries may be prevented by wearing helmet, wrist, knee, and back pads.
In conclusion, snowboarding is the best sport I have ever tried. Winters are short and thats why you cant get enough riding during that season but there is also summer surfing you can try instead of snowboarding. If you decide to try it, dont be fool, and pay for some lessons it is NOT easy.
