Origin of the English Laguage
The England known today has been put together for thousands of years. The English culture has been made up of many different groups of people who occupied England at different times. Some of these groups arer the Celtics, the Romans, the Anglo-Saxons, the Vikings, and the Normans.
In the begining there was a group of people known as the Celts. These people were made up of farmeers and hunters. They had a religion known as Drudism. Druids were the religious leaders who performed rituals including sacrificing and praye. In 55b.c. Julius Ceaser of Rome invaded England over the next 3000 years Romans reigned England a more civilized culture and brought the cathoolic religion, meaning "universal religion." The Romans also brought roads, public buildings , and forms of law.
In 449 A.D, England was being invaded by the Anglo-Saxons. With the arrival of then while the Roman Empire was dying out, the Anglo-saxons brought the start of the English language. At this time England was not known as England until this time also. Even then it was known as "Angels Land" and then was eventually known as England. The Anglo-Saxons had many religious beliefes that they also brought along with then to England. They belived in Pagan ways and thatlife was in the hands of fate.
