Living in America Compared to Living in Pakistan

There are changes in a person’s life, but later you realize that it was for the best. I remember living in Pakistan until I was five years old. When I was five years old, we moved to the United States with my family. It was a drastic change in our lives. It was different living in America, than Pakistan. It took time to get adapted to life here. Living in Pakistan is much different than living in America. Now I realize that the change that took place was for the best.

Some of the main differences between America and Pakistan are: education, society, and marriage. Education in Pakistan is more strictly enforced than it is in the United States.. Over there, when you get something wrong or aren’t paying attention, the teacher or instructor would end up hitting you with a ruler on your hand. Another difference is that the schools in Pakistan are segregated. The females have their own school where there are no males at all, not even male instructors. In the males school, there are no females. Al school in Pakistan have uniforms. And additional advantage is that the students in Pakistan graduate after tenth grade. After the graduate they can start college. So in Pakistan they students starts college two years earlier than a US student. In addition, Education is much more faster paced, as a result it is much harder than the Schools of The United States. When students do their math homework, they aren’t allowed to use their calculators, they can use their calculators on come things, but a majority of the time they have to do the problems on there own. It’s better to have your child not use a calculator at a young age, so they will learn and interpret more. Education in the United Stated is rally different from its in Pakistan. In the US teachers don’t hit the students when they get something wrong. Over here the schools are coed having both males and females in the same school. Some private school in the United States are segregated, but the majority are coed. In the U.S. some of the schools have uniforms, and in others you can almost wear anything, except for clothing that is to revealing. A disadvantage students have in the United States is that they graduate after 12th grade Another drawback students have in the United States is that they start using a calculator at such a young age, and pretty much become dependant on it.
