Leonardo was the first artist who was the equal of
princes and popes. His acheivements in art and
science have inluenced the way we see and think
even today. No painting has ever exercised such
magic as the mona lisa and none has engraved
itself so deeply in our minds as the Last Supper.
Leonardo’s paintings like the smile of the Mona
Lisa move us in ways for which we cannot account
exept by the recognizing that they touch the very
mystery of life and creation.
