ATOMIC BOMBS
In 1945, the bomb explosion on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was one of the most
devastating in all history. The bomb that struck them without notice produced
devastative effects. Bombs today are getting larger and stronger. The technology of weapons nowadays has lead to war, and war has caused catastrophes to families as well as friends. Today, the United States is the leading country that possesses the most dangerous bombs such as the Atomic Bomb, T.N.T's, Hydrogen bombs and Nitrogen ones. The production of Atomic Bombs, produced by scientists, must be stopped for several reasons.
First of all, Atomic Bombs contain radioactive substances that cause severe
destruction. These bombs are explosive devises that depend on the release of energy in a nuclear reaction known as fission. The bomb releases energy of a million times greater than the equal weight of a chemical high-explosive such as TNT . During the World War 2 in 1945, the first Atomic Bomb blast on Hiroshima, Japan, obliterated three-fifth of the city within seconds and killed a total of 115,000 people in only a few minutes according to a local newspaper in Japan. Moreover, the second bomb being dropped at Nagasaki killed an average of 70,000 people. In these two blasts, entire families perished, leaving no one to report the death until four months from the catastrophe. This has made the Atomic Bomb the most powerful weapon ever invented in mankind.
Secondly, countries that produce these bombs are harming others as well as themselves if there was war. For example, if a country fires an atomic bomb on another country, both of the countries will become affected with radiation and other nuclear gases. There is no need to produce these bombs because they are harming everybody in the world.
Thirdly, Atomic Bombs have diverse effects on the soil and land. First, once an atomic bomb strikes, the radioactive substances and gases released during fission will be absorbed by the soil. Consequently, the soil will become contaminated with nuclear waste and it would be inefficient to grow neither plants nor trees. The soil will eventually become bare and nothing would grow again. Imagine the entire world with no trees! If no trees or plants would grow, we would probably not survive.
Fourthly, Atomic Bombs cause many problems to human beings. It has a
negative effect on health factors. For example, A pregnant woman could inhale the gases released from the bomb blast thousands of kilometers away which will cause severe growth impairment and mental retardation to her baby. There is also an increased risk of having cancer and skin rashes among atomic bomb survivors because the skin cannot adapt to the radiation environment and will begin to die causing black patches. Other problems that radiation causes is leukemia. Approximately half of the people who survived the nuclear blast on Hiroshima and Nagasaki have leukemia. This shows how devastative can nuclear bomb be.
In the end, atomic bombs are one of the strongest bombs ever invented in the universe. Now, the latest technology has led to a more stronger bomb called the Hydrogen Bomb which has an explosive energy of 25% greater than the atomic bomb with half it's size. There are more than fifty atomic bombs present today, and if they were to explode, the whole world would perish and there would no longer be anybody to record the number of deaths! If we can put some restriction to the factories that produce nuclear weapons like atomic and hydrogen bombs, then we, the people of the world, will be able to live a peaceful and prosperous life.
